EHES Training Seminars
The EHES Training programme includes three types of training seminars:
- Planning and preparing for the European Health Examination Survey (EHES) at the national level,
- Fieldwork procedures, and
- Data analysis, reporting and dissemination of the results.
During the EHES Pilot Phase (2010-2011), two training seminars were organized:
- Training seminar on planning and preparing for the European Health Examination Survey (EHES) at the national level on 11-12 February 2010 in Rome, Italy. See report and material from this training seminar at http://www.ehes.info/rc/training_seminar/training_seminar1_summary.htm.
- Training seminar on fieldwork procedures on 20-22 September 2010 in Helsinki, Finland. See report and material from this training seminar at http://www.ehes.info/rc/training_seminar/training_seminar2_summary.htm.
Training seminar on data analysis, reporting and dissemination of the results has not been organized but need for it was identified during the pilot phase of the EHES in 2010-2011.
Training seminar for planning and preparing for the European Health Examination Survey (EHES) at the national level
Target group: those who plan and prepare national health examination surveys in EU Member States and EFTA/EEA countries.
Aims: to train the participants for planning a national HES according to the EHES standards, to raise awareness on EHES in all European countries, and to discuss possible national adaptations.
Training seminar for fieldwork procedures
Target group: those who will train the national fieldwork team members in each country.
Aims: to promote the use of the standardized EHES training materials, and to otherwise ensure that the training for the fieldworkers will be organized following the EHES standards.
Focus: core measurements.
Training seminar for data analysis, reporting and dissemination of the results
Target group: statisticians, researchers and survey organizers responsible for the data analysis, reporting and dissemination of the results.
Aims: to promote comparison of the national results, to develop European level reports and to support both national and European dissemination of the results.
